What is 2-step authentication and Why You Need It For Your Cryptocurrency Wallet
There have been many cases of fraud,as a result of not using the 2-factor authentication.
Without this your wallet is not safe, for example: you borrowed some one phone to check ur wallet cause u got no light on ur phone,u login without 2-step authentication to ur account, and unknowingly the browser auto saved ur username and password, thereby allowing that person to have full access, but if there was an authentication, there would nt be any access to ur wallet, cause d code would be sent to ur phone or email for confirmation before the username or password wud be logged in,dnt say this is stressful, its better to pass thru it to protect ur longtime savings, open ya eyes oo!!!

WHAT IS 2-STEP AUTHENTiCATION
Two Factor Authentication (TFA or 2FA abbreviated) is a process to verify your identity when trying to access a service on the web, using two forms of authentication. On Blockchain.info, our 2FA uses your regular password in combination with one of the following methods: SMS message (text message), Yubikey, Google Authenticator, or Email. For best security practices, we’d recommend the first three options as being superior to Email.

The way it works is when you create a wallet with Blockchain.info, you have the option to select a second form of authentication in the Security section, where it says Two Factor Authentication. Let’s walk through a common selection choice, SMS message.

To get setup with 2FA security on your Blockchain.info wallet, after your initial login, you will want to navigate to Account Settings, as shown below.

After clicking Account Settings, on the left menu click on Security. You will then see Two Factor Authorization, with a drop down of choices. For this example, you will select SMS Message.

Here is where you will setup your 2FA with your mobile phone, as a second form of authentication to login to your wallet. You will need to enter in your mobile phone number. You will then be sent an authorization verification code via text message. Enter in the code in the SMS Verification Code field and click Verify.

That’s it! Once you verify your phone number, you will have just successfully setup 2FA on your Blockchain.info wallet. When you login now, you will need to enter in your password plus the text message code, which will be a unique code that is sent to you on each login attempt.

Why is this important

2FA is extremely important, not just for Blockchain, but for any website or application that deals with sensitive data. Keeping your bitcoins secure is always paramount. To ensure that your wallet is never compromised by a third-party, you should always enable 2FA. In addition, you should also always make sure that your password is secure.
Diffrence between X11,Scrypt and Sha-256

Before jumping into that, however, let's talk hash in a little more detail. The term refers to complex mathematical computations that are required in order for successful mining to take place, and you'll often see “hash rates” listed along with hardware created for digital currency mining.

The higher the hash rate required for successful mining, the longer and more difficult the process will be for miners; this is expressed as the “hash difficulty” of a given type of currency. Here are some of the hash rate abbreviations you'll see, and what they mean:

KH/s: Kilohashes per second, or one thousand hash computations per second
MH/s: Megahashes per second, or one million hash computations per second
GH/s: Gigahashes per second, or one billion hash computations per second
TH/s: Terrahashes per second, or one trillion hash computations per second
PH/s: Petahashes per second, or one quadrillion hash computations per second
As hash difficulty increases, so do the hash rates required in order to successfully mine coins. This highlights the main difference between the SHA-256 and Scrypt cryptocurrency mining algorithms.

SHA-256 ALGORITHM

SHA-256 is the more complex of the two, and it's used by Bitcoin and most of the currencies based upon its code. Data block processing with SHA-256 tends to be slower—transaction turnaround times, as a result, are measured in minutes as opposed to seconds—but it's argued that it's also more thorough and leaves less room for error. Its advocates also say it's better for overall data security. Successful mining of coins using SHA-256 often requires hash rates at the gigahashes per second (GH/s) range or higher; this means it's generally more difficult for individual miners to use; those who do often employ an ASIC or some other separate computing device set up to perform only mining tasks.

SCRYPT ALGORITHM
Scrypt is the quicker and more simple algorithm of the two, and as new digital currencies are being introduced, more of them are favoring it over SHA-256. Scrypt is much easier to run on an already-existing CPU, and tends to use up less energy than using SHA-256; as a result, it's favored by most individual miners. In comparison to SHA-256, Scrypt's hash rates for successful coin mining generally range in the kilohashes per second (KH/s) or megahashes per second (MH/s) areas of difficulty, which can be achieved with regular computers without the need of ASICs or other hardware.

X11 ALGORIThM
The previous two algorithms are much more popular in the cryptocurrency market, and are much older than X11. Introduced slightly over a year ago, X11 is a chained proof-of-work algorithm that uses 11 different rounds of hashes to secure cryptocurrencies and their transactions.
Because it was designed specifically for cryptocurrencies (it debuted alongside Darkcoin aka Dash), it has the one of the most sophisticated cryptographic hashes currently in use. It has the advantage of a multi-hash system, meaning that in order for the algorithm to fail, all eleven of its hashes would have to fail at the same time.

Taking into account the very minute probability that even one hash would be broken, the chance of the X11 system failing becomes almost zero. Even if the two previous systems failed, any cryptocurrency could move to X11 as a more secure backup.

At the moment, Dashcoin is the most popular coin that uses it, but if there are more advances in security breaching in the near future, there may be more currencies moving to X11.

How To Start Mining Litecoins on android and Pc
WHAT ARE MINING POOLS?"
Mining pools are pooling resources that uses your pc or android processor as hashpower to mine cryptocurrency for you or
mining pool is the pooling of resources byminers, who share their processing power over a network, to split the reward equally, according to the amount of work they contributed to solving a block.

This post is for those who would like to start mining little by little on their android phones or pc

Step1:for android users

Register to a mining pool litecoinpool.org
Then copy out ur worker username and password, which should look like this:
Username: emmydav.1
password : 1
This is what u would input in your android miner

Step2: download an android miner Arm miner frm playstore

Open and configure this way, click on settings on the miner.
Poolurl:stratum+tcp://litecoinpool.org:3333
username: emmydav.1
Password:1
Select mining type:scrypt
Number of threads:leave it in d default
Save and start

FOR PC USERS(i recommend u register with minergate.com)
Register and download their gpu mining client for either mac, windows or ubuntu

I wud post d software fr windows 32 or 64bit,
Run d software input ur username and login.
Then select d coin u which to mine I recommend u mine xmr(monero) or dashcoin or litecoin.
if ur system processor rate is low,but if it's a bit high,u can mine etherum or ether classic.
Next: u should consider is d reward rate pplns and pps

Basically to me pplns detects more shares but it takes a longer time before d shares are confirmed to d original bal but pps generates shares gradually and doesn't take much time to confirm the shares mined,so that's how it is.
How TO CHECK TOTAL COINS MINED:
Go to their website (www.minergate.org)
login ur username and password,u wud see ur dashboard,in which u can see how many coins u mining and d overall bitcoin bal.

Cus each of d coins wud be shown up in btc value,it has nt been converted,bt if u wanna convert it u can.
u can also withdraw d coins through ur dashboard only if u meet the withdrawing threshold for each coin.
Coins fast in mining are Bcn,Digital note,Dashcoin,Factom,Monero(xmr),Litecoins.
Note: you ought to mine in a cool environment so as to cool ur processor.
When mining or else u might be causing more harm to ur device or pc,its at ur own risk, thanks and God bless.
For those who seems too busy to mine, you can purchase some hashpower on cryptoming farm
CRYPTOMININGFARM - Virtual Bitcoin Mining
They mine for you while u relax, feel free to drop ur testimonies if it works fr u,thesettings and feel free to ask questions
What are asci miner and where to get them?
I know you guys must have heard about ASIC but still wondering what it is,
Panicking, don't worry you would know what they are:

WHAT IS ASIC?

An application-specific integrated circuit (it is shortened ASIC) is an integrated circuit (IC) customized for a particular use, rather than intended for general-purpose use.

In the set of Bitcoin mining hardware, ASICs were the next step of development after
CPUs (central processing units)
GPUs (graphical processing units)
FPGAs (field programmable gate array)

Wondering what FPGAS means:

A field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by a customer or a designer after manufacturing.

ASIC are capable of easily surpassing other platforms for Bitcoin mining in both speed and efficiency, all Bitcoin mining hardware that is practical in use will make use of one or more Bitcoin (SHA256) ASICs.
